Porsche has revealed the first details of its all-new, all-electric Macan SUV, which is due for launch in 2023.

The car will share major components with the recently-revealed Audi A6 e-tron, and will include the 800 volt charging system seen on the Taycan. This allows better performance and much faster charging.

The company's head engineer Michael Steiner said: “Like the Taycan, the all-electric Macan will offer typical Porsche E-Performance. It will be the sportiest model in its segment.”

Porsche will continue to offer petrol and hybrid powered Taycans alongside the electric version.
